Presenting Mary Healy
nice to meet ya!
Mary began acting after she suffered the worst rejection a curly redhead can endure—poor thing wasn’t cast as Annie. A tragic hit to the heart that has embarrassingly fueled her career thus far.
Mary is a New York based actor, singer, model and the ultimate New England stereotype—Irish Catholic gal with a tall red-headed family and a father who shed a tear when she attended her first Yankees game. (Even at 5’10” she is somehow begrudgingly the short sister.) She graduated with a BFA in Acting from Boston University at the most opportune time to start a career in the arts—the oh-so-prosperous March 2020.
During the pandemic she stayed active in the industry by narrating a plethora of audiobooks from the comfort of her parents’ closet. Remember, during the pandemic it was totally normal to talk to oneself for hours on end. As the world began to open she began a more social career in commercial modeling, featured in content for Lancôme, Tempur-Pedic, Walmart, Marshalls, Ouidad, Zendesk, Thinx, Ashunta Sheriff Beauty, Prose, Vital Farms and more. During this time she also co-founded, acted and produced with Pegasus Theatre Company to create immersive and unique theatrical productions in NY and Dallas. This year she managed to make New Yorkers laugh (the mightiest feat by far) in musical Dream on Baransky! Off Broadway at the American Theatre of Actors and Homemade Dynamite at the New York Theatre Festival. She loves collaborating with friends and creating short films galore and she is excitedly awaiting the release of her first lead in a feature film Harmony, directed by Ron Morales with director of photography Jess Bennett.
Mary resides in Brooklyn where you can find her jogging, procrastinating the latest renter-friendly home improvement task, or caressing her beloved coffee machine. She also continues to train with Lesly Kahn and Bob Krakower and dreams of starring in a production of grown-up-Annie.
